Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Talkhawy

Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed  Al-Talkhawy is an academic and distinguished researcher in the field of radio and television media. He is well recognized for his rigorous scholarship and scientific contributions to the study of media issues and its relationship with society and politics. Born and raised in Egypt, his early passion for journalism and media laid the foundation for a career rich in both professional and academic achievements.

Dr. Al-Talkhawy began his academic journey by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media – Radio and Television Division from the Faculty of Arabic Language, Al-Azhar University, in 2004, with a Very Good grade. He then pursued postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Media – Radio and Television in 2018, graduating with Excellent and a recommendation for his thesis to be published and circulated among Arab and international universities. In 2021, he crowned his academic path with a Ph.D. in Media – Radio and Television from Mansoura University, graduating with First Class Honors, and a recommendation for his dissertation to be printed and distributed to Arab and international universities, reflecting the outstanding quality of his research.

Professionally, Dr. Al-Talkhawy has combined journalistic practice with academic work. He worked as a journalist and editor for several newspapers and media outlets, including Abu Al-Houl Tourism Electronic Newspaper and Al-Mawqif Weekly Newspaper. He also served as a correspondent for Al-Yaum Saudi Newspaper in Cairo before becoming the paper’s Economic Affairs Editor. These experiences provided him with extensive practical expertise in field and editorial journalism.

Alongside his journalistic career, Dr. Al-Talkhawy served as a Postgraduate Researcher at Al-Azhar University – Faculty of Arabic Language in Mansoura, where he pursued his academic interests until becoming an Assistant Professor in his specialization. He has also completed numerous training courses that enhanced his academic and professional skills, including courses in research ethics, scientific publishing, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, intellectual property, editorial skills, ICDL, and TOEFL.

Dr. Al-Talkhawy has enriched the Arabic academic library with significant publications, such as “Talk Shows and the Formation of the Image of the United States of America” and “International Satellite Channels and Terrorist Organizations: Professional Standards, Public Attitudes, and Communicators’ Perspectives.” He has also published peer-reviewed research papers, including “Talk Shows’ Approaches to Shaping the Image of the United States after Trump’s Victory: An Analytical and Field Study” and “International Satellite Channels’ Coverage of Terrorist Organizations: An Analytical Study.”
