Professor Dr. Hamed Adenoyi Juma

Professor Dr. Hamed Adenoyi Juma is a distinguished academic and a renowned scholar in the fields of linguistics and jurisprudence. He is widely recognized for his significant scholarly contributions, research excellence, and dedicated efforts in serving the Arabic language and promoting Islamic heritage. Born on December 27, 1973, in Agege, Lagos State, Nigeria, he was nurtured with a deep love for knowledge and learning, which laid the foundation for an illustrious academic and professional journey.
Dr. Juma pursued his higher education at prominent Arab universities. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies from the Islamic Call College in Tripoli in 1999. He then continued his postgraduate studies in Jordan, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from Middle East University in 2009, followed by a second Master’s degree in Jurisprudence and its Fundamentals from Al al-Bayt University in 2013. His academic achievements culminated in a Ph.D. in Linguistic Studies from the World Islamic Sciences and Education University in 2014.
His professional experience spans university teaching, academic administration, and research. He has taught Arabic to non-native speakers in Jordan and held several notable positions, including: Head of Public Relations for African and European Affairs at the Association of Arab Universities; General Coordinator of the World Moderation Forum (Nigeria branch); and Regional Director of the Foundation for the Exchange of Civilizations and Cultures. He is also the Founder and Director-General of the International Center for Interfaith Dialogue and Cultural Coexistence in Nigeria, Founder and President of the Higher Institute for Manuscripts Authentication and Heritage Publication, as well as the Founder of the Supreme Council for Arabic and Islamic Research.
Dr. Juma is an active member of numerous academic and scholarly associations worldwide, including the Association of Applied Linguists in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Jordan; the International Union of Muslim Scholars in Qatar; and the International Council for the Arabic Language in Lebanon, in addition to several other Arab and Islamic scholarly institutions.
On the research front, he has enriched the Arabic and Islamic library with numerous books and peer-reviewed studies, including “Shiyam al-Mawatar fi al-Riyad al-Nawadir”, as well as analytical works on The Challenges of the Qur’an, The Role of Synonymy in Qur’anic Discourse, and Methods of Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers. He has also actively participated in international conferences, presenting papers on language, Qur’anic studies, Islamic thought, education, and contemporary social issues.
Through his distinguished career, Dr. Hamed Adenoyi Juma has embodied both scholarly dedication and community engagement. He consistently strives to link academic research with the service of the Muslim ummah, while promoting values of dialogue and coexistence among civilizations, and mentoring a new generation of researchers capable of advancing knowledge and understanding.
