Associate Professor Dr. Eva Sami Amyouni

Associate Professor Dr. Eva Amyouni is a Lebanese academic and researcher specializing in Arabic grammar and linguistics. She currently serves as a faculty member at Suleiman International University, where she teaches, supervises research, and contributes to the development of academic programs.
Her professional journey combines nearly two decades of experience in secondary education—having taught since 2004 at Saint Maroun School in Tripoli—with an advanced academic path crowned by earning a Ph.D. in Arabic grammar from Saint Joseph University in Beirut. Her doctoral dissertation, entitled “Syntactic Ellipsis and Its Role in the Complexity of Arabic Grammar,” offered a rigorous analysis of one of the most challenging aspects of Arabic syntax. She has also authored specialized research on topics such as the grammatical distinction between total substitution (badal al-kull min al-kull) and apposition (ʿaṭf al-bayān), presenting her findings through precise linguistic analysis and a modern critical perspective.
As an Associate Professor at Suleiman International University, Dr. Amyouni has actively participated in the university’s international academic initiatives. She has taken part in several international conferences organized by the university, presenting her research on contemporary linguistic and grammatical issues, and enriching scholarly dialogue with colleagues from diverse academic institutions worldwide.
Balancing her roles as an educator and researcher, Associate Professor Dr. Amyouni is dedicated to renewing the study of Arabic grammar by bridging the classical linguistic heritage with modern analytical approaches. Her active contributions to Suleiman International University’s teaching, research, and international conferences highlight her as a dynamic and influential academic in the field of Arabic linguistic and grammatical studies, both locally and internationally.
